PURPOSE:To send the picture of a white board or the like and to record the signal on recording paper by adding a device reading the flat screen of the white board or the like and converting the read result into a facsimile signal to a conventional original reader and sending any one output. CONSTITUTION:A transmission section 20 has an original reader 22 arranged with original paper 21, a selection means 23, a signal sender24 and a communication network controller 25, and a picture reader 60 reads the picture 71 of the white board 70 placed at a remote location and outputs an electric signal to the means 23. The reader 22 reads the screen of one side of the original paper 21 of a prescribed size, converts it into a facsimile signal for the output. The means 23 receives the output of the readers 22 and 60, uses a selection button to select either reader and connects the output to the equipment 24. The equipment 24 stores the electric signal from either of the readers tentatively and sends the electric signal read from the screen as a facsimile signal at the time of the connection to a reception section of a facsimile equipment being connection destination via a communication channel 50.
