<p>PURPOSE:To form a high quality recording image and to reduce power consumption, by arranging light emitting dots in two rows in a zigzag pattern and providing dot electrodes so that a current supply inlet is formed on the light emitting dot side making a right angle with a dot array direction. CONSTITUTION:Each of dot electrodes 2 has a current supply inlet in a light emitting dot side yv and it is of a shape 2-C extending in an array direction at the center of a light emitting dot, and the light emitting dot 2 is electrically connected at a part 4. The side length XH of the dot electrode 2 is determined based on a recording dot density, and the other side yv is selected to a value allowing the light image on a photosensitive drum to effectively become nearly a square. The interval of the light of dots 1-1 and the line of dots 1-2 is set to be integral multiples of a recording dot pitch. By this constitution, a white stripe in a black image or fog in a white image disappears and image quality is improved. Since the supply of a current to the light emitting dot is performed at the center of said dot, the current in the dot can be uniformized, so light emitting distribution becomes uniform, and the light output per dot can be enhanced, so power consumption is reduced.</p> |
