PURPOSE:To control the engagement of a clutch depending on the coefficient of friction between clutch disks, by detecting the difference between the rotational frequency of an engine and that of a rotated member to alter the clutch engage/ disengage speed of a clutch engage/disengage unit depending on the detected difference. CONSTITUTION:When the coefficient of friction between clutch disks is low, the speed of engagement of a clutch is increased to quickly apply the load of an input shaft to the rotation of an engine to prevent its revolution speed from abnormally rising due to light load. When the coefficient of friction is high, the speed of engagement of the clutch is decreased to engage it after making the revolution speed of the engine high enough. To regulate the speed of engagement of the clutch, a control unit 9 receives the engine rotational frequency and accelerator pedal position as main parameters to control a solenoid valve 6. |
