发明名称 THERMAL TRANSFER RECORDING METHOD
摘要 PURPOSE:To enhance an abrasion resistance, by a method wherein an image is thermo-transferred on a recording paper with use of a thermal transfer recording medium having a substrate and a transfer layer thereon containing a granular coloring material mainly composed of a coloring agent and a thermoplastic resin having a softening point of a specific range, and a wax and/or a binder, furthermore being heated to be fixed. CONSTITUTION:A coloring material used in a transfer layer in a thermal transfer recording medium is made of a well-known coloring agent and a thermoplastic resin of 70-140 deg.C melting point which were kneaded under heat and ground to fine particle. As the thermoplastic resin, for example, acrylic resin, methacrylic resin, polyacetal resin, the copolymer of these resins, or the like is used. In the transfer layer, in addition to the aforesaid material, a wax is used 0.2-1pts.wt. and/or a binder is used 0.02-0.2pts.wt. to 1pt.wt. of the coloring agent. These transfer layer forming components are dissolved in water and applied to a substrate, thereafter being dried under a temperature below the melting point of the thermoplastic resin. The transfer layer is laid over the surface of a recording paper and then an image is thermally recorded; the transferred image is further heated to ensure the abrasion resistance.
