PURPOSE:To attain the reception giving no hindrance to the proofreading of a long original by means of a common paper recording section by recognizing the number of received original lines, storing duplicated picture information corresponding to the length of plain paper and recording the information dividedly duplicatedly on the common paper based on the setting value. CONSTITUTION:A control means 1 applies data storage to a line memory 7 and the changeover of recording common paper based on a detection data from a means 6 counting the line number of received picture information. A picture length data recorded duplicatedly onto the common paper length data is set to the means 1, the reception original longer than the length of plain paper is divided duplicatedly based on the setting data, the paper is switched into the common paper for the duplicated recording. Thus, even an equipment having a common paper recording section receives a long original without giving the hindrance to the proof-reading.
