<p>A master frame assembly (25) for use in a screen printing press (10) carries an upper seal to seal directly to a screen printing frame (36) to provide an enclosed sealed chamber (48) to contain solvents. The upper seal includes a travelling cover sheet (50) pressed directly into sealing engagement with the underlying screen frame (36). Mounted on the master frame (25) are side seal bars (56a-56b) for pressing the travelling marginal edges of the sheet (50) against the underlying sides of the screen frame (36). These side seal bars (56a-56b) are adjustable for different widths of screen frames (36). A squeegee (41) and flood bar (42) are provided with seals (137) therebetween and with the cover sheet (50) to permit vertical shifting and angular adjustment of the squeegee (41) or flood bar (42). The problems of ink drying and atmospheric contamination are solved by the prevention of solvent vapor loss.</p> |
