A device for fastening an object to a smooth mast tapering in the longitudinal direction, in particular for rapidly fastening a wishbone tube to the main mast of a surfboard, consists of an open elastic sleeve enclosing the mast and having a clamping device for the sleeve, connecting the two sleeve ends. The clamping device preferably consists of a clamping rocker, provided with steps, at one sleeve end and a clamping wire strap, to be put into the steps, at the other sleeve end.
