PURPOSE:To facilitate the inspection and exchange of a brake ring by shifting a molten metal receiver, a metallic mold, etc., to the position of maintenance working as layering a traveling carriage and fitting as shifting again each mold setting on the truck to the position of casting after finishing the maintenance working. CONSTITUTION:Rails 3 is arranged between the casting position 2 and the maintenance working position, the molten metal receiver 4 and plural casting mold 5 are laid on the traveling carriage 1 and a sliding gate 7 is inserted into between each pouring nozzle 6 and the metallic mold 5. In case of checking and exchanging the brake ring in the metallic mold 5, after releasing the metallic mold 5 from a means 11 fixing to a supporting base 9, the molten metal receiver 4 and the metallic mold 5 are shifted as laying on the truck 1. After finishing the prescribed working, the metallic mold 5 is set at the corresponding position to each nozzle 6 and gate 7 and then the carriage 1 is again shifted to the casting position 2 and the metallic mold 5 is fitted to the supporting base 9 by a means 11. In this way, the inspection and exchange of the brake ring is easily executed.
