PURPOSE:To provide an automatic operating device for a bath which is convenient to use by a method wherein a selection of a bath hot water boiling operation causes the operation to be automatically transferred to a hot temperature keeping operation after completion of the heating operation. CONSTITUTION:As a heating operation is started, a circulation device 6 is operated to cause hot water to be circulated to a bath furnace 2, a burner 17 is ignited to heat circulated hot water and when the hot water reaches to a desired temperature, the burner 17 is shut down and the circulation device 6 is stopped and then the heating operation is completed. Subsequent to the completion of the heating operation, the hot temperature keeping operation is started. That is, a timer within a control part 3 is started to operate, the circulation device 6 is operated for every specified time to circulate hot water and if the hot water temperature at that time is less than the desired temperature, the burner 17 is ignited to continue a circulation of hot water. As the hot water is heated up to the desired temperature, the burner 17 is diminished and then the circulation device 6 is stopped. In case that the hot water temperature is higher than the desired hot water temperature when the circulation device 6 is operated for every time, the operation of the circulation device 6 is stopped after a short period of time and this stopped condition is continued until the timer of a next time operation is performed.
