<p>Light processor comprises: a) a modular housing (22) comprising a base (24) and a plane wall (26) spaced from and parallel to the said base, this plane wall forming the exit face for the light and being provided with a plurality of windows; b) a light source (10) typically emitting white light and disposed inside the said housing; c) a plurality of dichroic mirrors (161, 162, 163) mounted on the said base in the said housing, on the path of the light beams emitted by the said light source, and which are inclined with respect to this path so that each mirror reflects a portion of the light spectrum emitted by the light source and transmits the residual spectrum to the following mirrors, along the said path; d) a plurality of liquid crystal cells (201, 202, 203) mounted respectively in the said windows of the plane wall (26), on the paths of the portions of beams reflected by the said mirrors so as to modulate the light of the said beams, the disposition being such that the modulated light beams leaving the exit face of the said housing are superimposed and combined; and, e) means (28-30) provided on the said housing in order to assemble similar housings by superposition and/or juxtaposition. <IMAGE></p> |
