The invention relates to a device for treating pourable materials in an air flow, with a round container. The container is divided into a drying zone and a cooling zone by a separating floor. An opening is provided in the separating floor. Arranged in this opening is a cellular wheel sluice. The cellular wheel sluice has a cellular wheel which is rotatable about a drive shaft which is arranged between the central shaft and the container wall.
