A core member 12 has an axial bore 18 in which adjacent its end remote from the valve member 19 is mounted a division baffle 30. Extending from the baffle is a tubular member 27 through which petrol can flow from an inlet 17. The tubular member extends towards the other end of the bore and channels 37 are formed between the winding and the core member through which fuel can be returned to outlets 36 extending from the bore adjacent the baffle 30. A circulation of fuel through the injector can therefore be obtained. The tubular member (40, Fig. 2) may terminate intermediate the ends of the bore 18 with sealing therebetween beyond core drillings 38. <IMAGE>
