PURPOSE:To make the amount of a sample supplied for spot sticking invariably constant by holding the quantity of a chip tip into sample liquid constant at the time of suction. CONSTITUTION:A mount table 74c where a sample container 52 is placed is moved up and down by a control means 70, the up/down position of a liquid surface is detected by a liquid level sensor 100, and a chip up/down position control means 60 is put in operation to lower a spot sticking chip 53 fitted to a spot sticking arm 55, thereby dipping its lower end in the sample liquid to specific depth. Then, a sucking and discharging means 90 is operated to move a position 94a and the sample liquid is sucked in the space 53a of the chip 53 by a specific amount. A drop in liquid level is detected by the sensor 100 and the control means 70 moves up the container 52 to hold the liquid level position constant. Consequently, the depth of insertion of the chip 53 is held constant even during sample liquid suction and the amount of sample liquid stick on the outer peripheral part of the chip is held invariably constant. |
