COOLING SYSTEM FOR INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE

PURPOSE:To improve the cooling efficiency of an internal combustion engine and to optimize the temperature adjustment by piping from a liquid pump section of a gas/liquid separator to a lower inlet of a liquid-cooled jacket for the internal combustion engine and from the outlet of jacket to the gas/liquid separator thus forming a circulation line. CONSTITUTION:A feed piping 4 is connected from the bottom of a gas/liquid separator 2 to a lower inlet of a jacket 1 while a return piping 3 is installed between the upper outlet of jacket 1 and the gas/liquid separator 2. A flow regulation valve 7 is arranged in the way of the feed piping 4 so as to regulate the flow such that gasification is performed above the jacket 1. A steam take- out piping 5 is coupled to the upper end of the gas/liquid separator 2 and another flow regulation valve 8 is arranged in the way of the steam take-out piping 5. Furthermore, a water supply piping 6 is coupled to the lower section of the gas/liquid separator 2. Consequently, the cooling liquid flows from the gas/liquid separator 2 into the jacket 1 because of a differential head then evaporates and returns to the gas/liquid separator 2. The steam is utilized effectively and the cooling water is supplied from the water supply pipe 6.
