PURPOSE:To prevent the reduction in the scanning pseed by providing line buffer memoreis corresponding to plural image sensors while being divided at least into two groups and reading data from the other while the data are written in one memory group. CONSTITUTION:The image sensors 1, 2 share the reading of a line 1 and a digitized video signal is written in line buffer memories 11, 21 selected by buffer selection circuits 5, 6. The read of the line 2 is started succeedingly and the data are written in the line buffer memories 12, 22. A buffer selection circuit 7 selects the line buffer memory 11 as soon as the write is started to read the video signal of the line 1 written before and then the line buffer memory 21 is selected and the remaining video signal of the line 1 is read. The read of the image sensors 1, 2 and the write to the line buffer memoreis are executed by a low clock frequency aud the read is executed at a high clock frequency, thereby preventing the reduction of the scanning speed as the scanner.
