PURPOSE:To also provide a hydrophilic group to the atmospheric side of a monomolecular film, by using an org. compound having different hydrophilic groups at both terminals thereof as a raw material to protect both of said hydrophilic groups by a hydrophobic group and de-protecting only one hydrophilic group on the surface of water. CONSTITUTION:An org. compound having different hydrophilic groups at both terminals is used as a raw material and said hydrophilic groups at both terminals thereof are protected by a hydrophobic protective group. In this case, as the org. compound, one or more kinds of a compound represented by X-R-X' (wherein X and X' are respectively mutually different hydrophilic groups and R is 8 or more C hydrocarbon group) is used alone or a mixed state. Next, only one protective group is detached on the surface of water and the org. compound is oriented as a monomolecular film to be transferred onto a hydrophilic base material by an LB method. Because the surface of the monomolecular film obtained is protected by the hydrophobic group, said film is exposed to a proper reagent vapor to convert the protected group to a free hydrophilic group. |
