PURPOSE:To excite a crystal resonator connected to a semiconductor device for a timepiece to be measured by utilizing a resonance phenomenon by using two crystal resonators and connecting the semiconductor device for the timepiece to be measured and an external oscillator closely. CONSTITUTION:The crystal resonator 4 is connected to the semiconductor device 1 for the timepiece to be measured and a crystal resonator 5 for excitation is connected to an external oscillator 3; and the crystal resonator 5 for excitation oscillates all the time. While the device 1 tests functions or takes a test regarding oscillation characteristics such as a parameter test, switching circuits 11 and 12 are broken and a switching circuit 13 is made. The circuit 13 is broken before the characteristic test of the oscillator is started, and then the circuits 11 and 12 are made for 50 milliseconds. Then, the crystal resonator 4 begins to vibrate. Consequently, wiring capacity is reduced.
