PURPOSE:To simplify the constitution of a color split optical system and to improve accuracy by giving a dichroic film to a sandwitch structure where said film is inserted between two prisms. CONSTITUTION:The dichroic film 43 is bonded and formed on a face A being the 1st reflection surface of the 1st prism 41, and the face A of the 1st prism 41 and that A of the 2nd prism 42 are jointed to constitute the color split optical system. The dichroic film 43 splits an input optical image to red light and cyan light. The red light passes through the dichroic film 43 and comes out of the face B of the 2nd prism 42. On the other hand, the cyan light is refelected on the 1st reflection face A(surface where the dichroic film 43 is formed), further reflected on the 2nd reflection face B and comes out of a face C.
