PURPOSE:To simplify the valve structure and to reduce the mechanical loss by containing a rotary board rotatably in a thin disc type space formed in a cylinder head then opening/closing the intake and exhaust ports with good timing through rotation of said rotary board. CONSTITUTION:Inner and outer head covers 6, 7 are applied onto a cylinder 1 to provide an enclosed disc type space 8 at the top face of the cylinder 1 then a rotary board 9 having the central shaft 9 journaled rotatably around the centers of respective head covers 6, 7 is contained in said space 8. A communication hole 10 is formed at an eccentric position of said rotary board 9 while pairs of vertical intake ports 11, 11' and exhaust ports 12, 12' are formed at the positions corresponding to the locus of the communication hole 10. The communication hole 10 is lapped over the intake ports 11, 11' with 1/4 rotary phase of the rotary board 9 while lapped over the exhaust ports 12, 12' with 4/4 rotary phase and not communicated with the intake and exhaust ports 11, 11', 12, 12' with 2/4, 3/4 rotary phases. |
