PURPOSE:To reduce toner consumption by driving a shutter device for interrupting the scanning light of an exposure means so that only an area to be transferred to a recording body on a photosensitive body is exposed. CONSTITUTION:A shutter device 22a arranged over a scanning light incident slit 18a is driven by a solenoid 22c and a rink 22b. When an exposure lamp is raised, a shutter 22 is opened to expose the photosensitive body. When the start position and end position of exposure to the photosensitive body are respectively reached to a transfer position, the timing of the shutter device and that of a resist roller are controlled at the timing that the leading end and final end of a form arrive at the transfer position. Thereby, only the area to be transferred to the recording body is exposed and toner consumption can be reduced. |
