PURPOSE:To reduce the number of parts, by a method wherein the interior of a shell is divided into a high pressure space, to which burst gas incomes, and a low pressure space, where intake gas and a compression mechanism part are contained, by means of a partition plate. CONSTITUTION:A partition plate 31 is located between the upper end of an lower shell 29 and the lower end of an upper shell 30. A high pressure space 34 and a lower pressure space 35 are formed separately from each other by means of the partition plate 31. The high pressure space 34 is worked in the same manner in that the delivery muffler of a conventional compressor is worked, an abnormal high pressure during compression of liquid is damped. Further, since a heat insulating material 33 is located in the partition plate 31, a compressor is prevented from lowering of performance. This constitution enables reduction of the number of parts on the whole by means of the partition, and permits reduction of a cost.
