PURPOSE:To prevent creases in roll edge corners at the time of vibration by providing reverse roll-shaped and V-shaped grooves on four corner parts of a roll edge 4 jointed to the outer periphery of a rectangular plane surface diaphragm mainbody at the roll-shaped center part from the outer-most periphery toward the inner periphery of a diaphragm mainbody junction along a diagnal. CONSTITUTION:The rectangular plane diaphragm mainbody 1 is constituted in a rectangular shape with light and rigid materials such as a honeycomb- shaped core material to which skin materials are stuck on upper and lower surface, and foaming resin. The roll edge 2 is constituted by shaping a cloth containing urethane resin into a roll. The four corner parts are provided with reverse rolls or V-shaped protruding strips 3, all of which are jointed to the outer periphery of the diaphragm mainbody 1 with an adhensive. The reverse rolls or the protruding strips 3 open and close so that the creases in the edge corners are removed against the vertical vibration of the diaphragm mainbody 1. Thus, a warp disappears, the characteristic of a speaker is improved, and an excellent tone quality can be obtained.
