PURPOSE:To simplify a regulating operation as well as to make improvements in operatability, by operating a first switch and setting an intermittent period of time on the basis of duration from wiping motion stoppage to switching operation in case of shortening the intermittent time, while setting it with a period of duration for operating a second switch in case of its prolongation. CONSTITUTION:In the case where a period of time for intermittent wiping motion is shortened, a first operating switch 1 is operated during wiping motion stoppage at a time when an intermittent wiping motion mode is in performance. After switching operation, a microcomputer 4 immediately operates a wiper motor 5 via a driver 6, while the timer value stored in a timer device inside the microcomputer 4 is changed over to a period of duration from a point of the said wiping motion stoppage to that of operating the said switching operation. With this changed time interval, intermittent wiping motion takes place. In addition, when the period is prolonged to some extent, a second operating switch 2 is operated for a desired period of time long at a time when the intermittent wiping mode is in performance. After this switching operation, the microcomputer 4 keeps a wiper in a state of motion stoppage, and the timer value is changed over to the duration of operation in the second operating switch 2. |
