In an extracting device with an electric heating means, preferably for making coffee or tea, it is proposed to arrange, on the underside of a top part (3) resting on a vessel (2) like a lid, closing the vessel (2) in a virtually air-tight manner and intended for receiving extract (39) and water, a filter tube (30) and a heating device (34) which reach into the vessel (2) almost to the bottom thereof. With the device according to the invention, it is sufficient, in order to make coffee or tea, to place the filter funnel, containing coffee extract or tea leaves, on the water-filled vessel, which may be a cup or a pot, switch on the heating and wait until the coffee or tea is ready. <IMAGE>
