In the process for the surface adhesive bonding of a roof build-up layer to a roof area, in which a free-flowing adhesive is spread on the roof area and the roof build-up layer is pressed against the roof area provided with adhesive, in order to allow the adhesive to be applied cleanly and in exactly apportioned amounts without special devices, it is proposed that tear-open portion packs filled with the adhesive be placed on the roof area and the roof build-up layer be placed on top and that the roof build-up layer be pressed against the roof area with sufficient force to tear open the portion packs, the adhesive escaping from the portion pack and spreading out over the surface between roof area and roof build-up layer. Furthermore, a portion pack for carrying out this process is described.
