The pressure sensor is provided with a metallic housing which has a sealed pressure chamber (7) with a diaphragm (8) which separates the latter from the external region and absorbs the pressure thereof. Furthermore, there are arranged in the pressure chamber sensors which are exposed to the pressure and can be connected to an evaluation circuit via terminals which are guided into the pressure chamber via penetrations, if necessary in a pressure-tight and electrically insulated manner. In this case, a bar magnet located in the pressure chamber (7) is arranged on the diaphragm, and at least two sensors (10) are provided of which each is constructed as a Hall-effect element (10) having an active plane and reaches up to the bar magnet (15) with a clearance.
