The present invention relates to a haymaking machine with a pick-up drum picking up the hay. In order to keep the losses of hay as a result of crumbling as low as possible, the pick-up drum is followed by a pneumatic conveying floor, provided with air-outlet slits, with an essentially closed box which is connected to a blower and the top side of which forms the conveying floor which is made essentially plane and freely accessible, the air-outlet slits pointing at a low angle to the conveying floor in the conveying direction in order to generate a fluidised air bed.
