PURPOSE:To suppress magnetic flux pulsation and leakage flux, by making a magnetic wedge retain anisotropy. CONSTITUTION:In a groove set on an electric core 1, a winding 2 is contained, and a wedge is used in order to fix the winding 2 contained in the groove. The magnetic wedge is formed with an anisotropic magnetic wedge(specific permeability mut in the peripheral direction<specific permeability muR in the radial direction)3b with the radial direction larger than the peripheral direction. By this method, magnetic flux pulsation and leakage flux are attenuated, and a rotary electric machine for enabling the characteristic of suppressing the magnetic flux pulsation and the leakage flux to be improved can be obtained.
