PURPOSE:To simplify the constitution of a reception circuit for an optical signal by providing an amplifier which converts an optical input signal with almost a 1/2 mark ratio into an electrical signal and amplifies only its AC component. CONSTITUTION:The input optical signal is converted into an electrical signal by an photoelectric transfer part 1, and its AC component is amplified by the amplifier 2. The amplified output signal is applied to an identification and reproduction part 3 and a timing extaction part 4, and identified and reproduced according to an extracted timing signal. Since the amplifier 2 amplifies only the AC component, the constitution is simplified compared with a DC amplifier. As the input optical signal with about 1/2 mark ratio includes many AC components, only the AC components amplified by the amplifier 2 can identify and reproduce signals and attain timing extraction. |
