PURPOSE:To enable the smooth cooling treatment of a steel sheet cooler of a continuous quick cooling section and laminar cooling section, and providing nozzle units which inject cooling water at a prescribed angle to the steel sheet to the continuous quick cooling section in such a manner that the space therebetween can be adjusted above and below. CONSTITUTION:The steel sheet W emitted from a rolling mill 1 is conveyed by rolls 2 and is cooled in the continuous quick cooling section 10 and the laminar cooling section 11. A pair of the upper and lower slit nozzle units 12 are provided to the continuous quick cooling section 10. A pair of spray pipes 13 which face each other are provided to the units 12 forward and backward in the longitudinal direction of the steel sheet W. Slit nozzles 14 having the prescribed angle alpha to the surface of the steel sheet W are provided to the steel sheet W side sections of the respective spray pipes 13 in the direction where the nozzles face each other. The upper nozzle unit 12 is vertically moved by a lifting mechanism 23 according to the thickness of the steel sheet. Laminar nozzles 27 are provided above and spray nozzles 28 below in the laminar cooling section 11. A wide range of cooling rate are thereby assured and the treatment such as accelerating cooling and hardening are smoothly executed. |
