PURPOSE:To enable recording of a sharp visible image with less image noise without increasing the energy of the heat or light beam to be irradiated by the powder which changes from a chromatic color to colorless state by a photochemical reaction when irradiated with the light beam to a uniform sticking stage, light beam irradiating stage, heat ray irradiating stage and decoding stage. CONSTITUTION:The powder 2 which changes from the chromatic color to colorless state by the photochemical reaction when irradiated with the light beam is uniformly stuck onto the recording surface of a recording medium 1. For example, a colorless low melting point material contg. an org. compd. which makes a complex with the co-existing electron donor activated by the light and which itself turns to a reduction type and decolors by inducing photoreduction is used for the powder 2. The light beam 5a is irradiated according to character and picture information on the powder 2 stuck on the recording surface of the recording medium 1 to change the powder 2 in the irradiated region to the colorless state. The heat rays 6a are uniformly irradiated on the powder 2 on the recording surface of the recording medium so that only the chromatic powder 2 is welded onto the recording surface of the recording medium 1 by utilizing the difference in the heat absorptivity between the stage when the powder 2 is chromatic and the stage when the powder is colorless. The powder 2 in the non-welded region is finally removed from the recording surface of the recording medium 1. |
