PURPOSE:To eliminate burr generated at a clearance between the surfaces of shafts confronted with each other, by pushing a pipe-formed metal fitting with the knurling-tool-processed outer periphery, through the shaft on the side of a commutator, with a molding die, up to a previously determined dimensional position, and by molding resin at the same time. CONSTITUTION:Through a shaft 1 opposite to a commutator 2, a pipe-formed embedded metal fitting 4 with the knurling-tool-processed outer peripheral surface is pressed to a position on the way, and is set between a lower molding die 6 and an upper molding die 5, and is pushed from the upper section with the upper molding die 5 so that the metal fitting 4 may be put at a previously determined dimensional position. After that, into a cavity 7 between the upper molding die 5 and the lower molding die 6, molding resin is injected, and an armature 8 is molded. The injected molding resin is molded so that the upper molding die 5 may be put on a level equal to or lower than that of the upper surface section 9 of the embeded metal fitting 4. As a result, the molding resin is not permitted to flow to the side of the shaft 1 from the plane section 9 of the embedded metal fitting 4, and so burr is not generated.
