PURPOSE:To secure the detailed application of data as well as the protection of data against destruction and the security of the data secrecy even in case data are treated by various types of application software, by providing attributes to the data to be controlled for each field, therefore ensuring the access control for each field. CONSTITUTION:The titles such as 'prices of articles', etc. are set at the side of a host computer for production of a new data base. Then the number of records and the field formats are set in response to the quantity and types of data. For instance, the number of records is set at 5 with the number of fields set at 3 respectively. Then the article numbers, the retail prices and the cost prices are allocated to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd fields respectively. Then an attribute is set to each field and the attribute is set only to the cost price. Thus it is impossible for a terminal equipment to refer to 'cost price' only with reference to the article name and the retail price.
