PURPOSE:To uniformly hold the packing state of metallic pellets and to prevent the concentration of metallic ions produced in the vicinal parts of the retained pellets by providing a vibration member in an anodic basket packed with metallic pellets and imparting vibration to the pellets. CONSTITUTION:A pair of basket-type soluble anodes 4 for electrolysis are provided oppositely to a conductor roll 3 wound with a steel strip 1. The pellets 8 of plating metal are packed in the baskets 7 of these anodes 4. These baskets 7 are formed by a perforated member 7a of the like and anodes 9 are provided to frame members 7b thereof. Vibration members 10 are provided in these baskets 7 and vibrated in the arbitrary direction by the vibration of vibrators 11 and directly brought into contact with the pellets 8 to impart the vibration to the pellets 8. Thereby the pellets 8 can always be packed in the baskets 7 without voids. Further the distance between the steel strip 1 and the metallic pellets 8 is definitely held and the plating on the steel strip 1 is uniformly performed.
