PURPOSE:To facilitate discharge of earth and sand, by a method wherein pitches of a screw vane are differed along the longitudinal direction of a screw shaft, and the consolidation state of each and sand is changed on the downstream, based on the pressure of earth and sand in the vicinity of an earth and sand inlet port. CONSTITUTION:Pitches l0-l3 of a screw vane 4 mounted in the longitudinal direction of a screw shaft 2 in a casing 1 are differed at each section. Namely, based on a pitch l0 in a position in the vicinity of an earth and sand inlet port 5, pitches on the downstream are set to l0<l1<l2<l3 to form zones Z1-Z5, and the consolidation state of the intaken earth and sand is increased and decreased several times until the earth and sand is conveyed to an outlet port 6. This constitution enables the intaken earth and soil to be smoothly conveyed to the outlet port 6 without overpressurizing the intaken earth and soil.
