PURPOSE:To carry out the fitting of a collar member to a wire rod automatically and securely by providing one or more sets of a guide and a fitting body in front and a guide and a fitting body in the rear which are arranged contrary to those in front, in a conveying device. CONSTITUTION:A conveying device 4 which receives and transfers a certain dimension of a wire rod for a separator which is fed falling from an automatic dimension determining-cum-cutting device 3, is provided below the device 3. In the conveying device 4, a guide 5 for guiding one end of the wire rod is provided on one side while a device 6 for fitting a form-tie collar member on the other end of the wire rod is provided being opposite to the guide 5 on the other side, and at least one or more sets of these are provided on the side parts of the conveying device 4. A device 7 for threading both side ends of the wire rod on which a collar member is fitted, and a marking device 8 for marking the center of the wire rod are provided on the feeding end of the conveying device 4. And, the linear automatic dimension determining-cum- cutting device 3 is positioned before a fixed part 9 and a moving part 10, and in accordance with the movement of the moving part 10, the positioning member in the device 3 is automatically displaced.
