PURPOSE:To reduce a burden on a filter, by treating wire-cut electric discharge machining waste water with a highmolecular coagulant and making polluted matter into coagulation and bulkiness, while passing it through a filter. CONSTITUTION:Machining waste water out of a wire-cur electric discharge machining work tank 12 is led into a precipitator 10. A nonionic highmolecular coagulant is added to the waste water inside this tank 10, and stirred up by an agitator 103A, whereby pollution matter is made into coagulation and bulki ness, then it is filterated by a first filter 105A. With the said bulkiness, a bore diameter of the filter 105A can be set to 100mu or so, thus cleaning comes easy. In succession, it is filtrated by a second filter 141. This bore diameter can be set to 50mu or so. A filtrate is led into an ion exchanger 22, conductivity is regulated, and regenerated. A burden on the filter is releived owing to coagula tion so that regeneration cost is reducible.
