PURPOSE:To surely prevent the exfoliation and generation of cracks in an information recording layer by providing a surface active layer between a substrate consisting of an org. material and the information recording layer consisting of an inorg. material. CONSTITUTION:An optical disk 1 is constituted of the substrate 2 consisting of the transparent org. resin material such as epoxy, the surface active layer 3, the information recording layer 4 consisting of the inorg. material and a protective layer 5. The layer 3 is formed of a lipophilic functional group such as alkyl group and hydrophilic functional group such as sulfonic acid group. The bonding strength between the substrate and the information recording layer is thereby intensified, by which the crack and exfoliation at the recording layer are prevented and the quality is improved.
