摘要 PURPOSE:To improve the optical intensity of spot light by a simple and small device by shaping semiconductor laser beams vertical and parallel to/with the junction surface of the beams by two convex cylindrical lenses. CONSTITUTION:Since a semiconductor laser 10 is arranged on the focus f1 position of a convex cylindrical lens 11, an elliptical diffusion beam radiated from the laser 10 is collimated in the direction vertical to the laser 10 by the lens 11. Since the the laser 10 is arranged on the focus f2 position of the convex cylindrical lens 12, the elliptical diffusion beam from the laser 10 is collimated on the surface parallel with the junction surface of the laser 10 by the lens 12. Since the ratio f2/f1 of the focal distances of the lenses 11, 12 coincides with the ellipticity of the elliptical beam from the laser 10, the beam projected from the lens 12 is a circular parallel beam. The circular parallel beam is converged by a condenser lens 13 to form a fine circular spot.
