PURPOSE:To obtain stably a titled electrical steel sheet having good secondary ecrystallization and additionally improved magnetic characteristic by hot-rooling a silicon steel slab consisting of a prescribed component compsn., subjecting the rolled steel to final cold rolling at a specific draft or above after quick cooling and controlling the oxygen content after decarburization annealing. CONSTITUTION:A silicon steel slab contg. 0.02-0.12% C, 2.5-4.0% Si, 0.03- 0.5% Mn and 0.02-0.4% Cu as essential components is hot-rolled and is subjected to final cold rolling at >=80% draft after a quick cooling treatment. The sheet thickness after the final cold rolling is preferably 0.15-0.30mm.. The oxygen content of the steel sheet after the decarburization annealing is controlled to the range given by the equation during this time and thereafter a separating agent for annealing contg. 0.5-20pts.wt. titanium oxide and 0.1-2.0pts.wt. antimony sulfate by 100pts.wt. magnesia is coated thereon. The treated sheet is subjected to finish annealing at a high temp. by a known method by which the grain- oriented electrical steel sheet having the intended excellent magnetic characteristic and magnetic flux density is obtd. |
