PURPOSE:To enable dispensing of components with high reliability by discharging the components in a sample separated by component separating means from the component separating means and detecting the same by component detecting means. CONSTITUTION:The separating liquid in a separating liquid tank 50 is passed by a liquid feed pump 70 in a flow passage 60 toward columns 10a-10c. The separating liquid past the inside of the flow passage 60 flows into a sample injecting part 80 where a sample is injected thereto. The components in the sample are separated in the columns 10a-10c. The component is first separated by using only the column 10a. The separated component is detected by the detector 20a during the passage through a flow passage 62a and the detection signal thereof is inputted to an arithmetic unit 41. The resultant output waveform is stored in a memory deice 42. The component sepn. in the columns 10a-10c are thereafter executed. On the other hand, the output waveform and the output waveform stored in the device 42 are compared in the unit 41 and the result thereof is judged to be abnormal by the unit 41 when the output waveform detected by the detectors 20a-20c and obtd. in the unit 41 is abnormal. A pump 70 is stopped by such judgement.
