PURPOSE:To decrease the number of unconnections caused by the automatic wiring via a simple control means by selecting a pattern where a via producible position is secured as much as possible with the wirings in the first half and keeping many via producible positions with the wirings in the second half respectively. CONSTITUTION:A wiring is divided into plural phases and the counter limit value of each phase is stored in a memory device 6. A wiring pattern generator 1 produces many routes in the form of wiring patterns set between two points. Then a counter 2 counts the number of coordinates stored in the via producible position store device 4 where each of those produced patterns passes. The count value of the counter 2 is sent to the generator 1. For instance, a wiring is divided into six phases and the comparatively small counter limit value is set with phases 1-3 together with the large counter limit value set with phases 4-6 respectively. In this case, the wiring is carried out in the first half so that the via producible position is secured and the number of degrees of freedom is ensured for generation of many vias in the second half.
