PURPOSE:To prevent the breakage of a road surface and nuisance caused by dust in a spike pin for an automotive spike tire, by forming a main body with a two-way shape memory alloy, thereby extending the spike pin at the time of low temperature, and shortening it at the time of high temperature. CONSTITUTION:A main body 1 is formed with a two-way shape memory alloy so that an over-all length L extends in the low temperature of approximately less than five degree, while the over-all length L shortens in the high temperature of approximately twenty-five degree or more. With this arrangement, when the open-air temperature and road surface is above a predetermined temperature and, even in low temperature, the road surface is dried so that the temperature rises due to the generation of heat in a tire, the main body 1 is shortened so that a spike pin is not operated, to be function as a normal tire. Conversely, if the tire temperature becomes low, the pin projects. Therefore, it is possible to prevent the breakage of the road surface and generation of dust.
