A resin composition for use in a powder paint, consisting essentially of (A) 60 to 97 parts by weight of a polyester having an acid value of l5 to l00 KOH mg/g and a softening point, determined by the ring and ball method, of 70 to l50 DEG C and obtained by reacting (a-l) a polyester having a hydroxyl value of l0 to 70 KOH mg/g and an acid value of 2 to l0 KOH mg/g and (a-2) a halogenated polycarboxylic acid or a halogenated polycarboxylic anhydride, and (B) 40 to 3 parts by weight of a polyepoxy compound having at least 2 epoxy groups per molecule.
