PURPOSE:To manufacture a model material having the strain rate dependency (m-value) varied over a wide range by mixing a resin, lanolin, kaolin, vaseline, etc. alone or the mixture composed thereof with clay. CONSTITUTION:Plural - single materials of the resin, lanolin, kaolin, vaseline, etc., or the mixture composed thereof are kneaded with the clay by an earth kneading machine. The respective materials are kneaded at weight ratios and the m-value is controlled. The weight ratios of the resin, kaolin, vaseline, etc., alone or the mixture to be mixed are specified from 0 up to the max. ratio at which the kneading with the earth kneading machine is possible. The model material is produced by thoroughly kneading the clay with the earth kneading machine and thoroughly kneading single - plural materials of the resin, etc., alone or the mixture to be mixed together with the clay so as to be uniformly mixed. The respective weight ratios to be kneaded are controlled according to intended purposes and the mixture is molded and cut to a suitable shape after kneading. The weight ratios are adequately selected by the m-value and service temp.
