PURPOSE:To prevent a sudden drop of the cell voltage in storing at a high temperature, by applying a specific sulfide as a positive electrode material, and composing a cell of such a positive electrode, a negative electrode mainly of Cu, and a Cu<+> ion conductive soild electrolyte. CONSTITUTION:As a positive electrode material for a solid electrolyte secondary cell with a negative electrode mainly of Cu, and a Cu<+> ion conductive solid electrolyte, a sulfide shown in the formula I is applied. And the positive electrode material is made by feeding sulpher vapor gradually in to a quartz glass container housing a mixture of metallic Ti powder and metallic Nb powder at a specific ratio, or alloy powder of Ti and Nb, and then giving a heat- reaction at 900 deg.C.
