PURPOSE:To reduce the polarization of a cell during the discharge, by mixing Pd powder or Pt powder into the NbS2 of a positive electrode. CONSTITUTION:As a positive electrode 1 material, a material consisting of mainly NbS2 mixed with Pd powder or Pt powder is used. At the same time, a negative electrode 3 mainly of metallic copper, and a Cu<+> ion conductive solid electrolyte 2 are used. The activating energy of the electric charge transfer over the contact surfaces between the electrolyte and the positive electrode substance makes a main cause of polarization. However, by mixing Pd black powder or Pt black powder into the NbS2, the activating energy is reduced and the polarization can be decreased. |
