PURPOSE:To obtain the effect similar to that in lengthening a spring and to reduce the noise of low frequency, by mounting a crank to the spring attaching part of a shackle and supporting the crank with an another spring in such a manner as keeping it away from a car body, thereby completely coupling both springs at the top dead center. CONSTITUTION:Two springs E, K are completely coupled at the top dead center of a crank F. In this arrangement, in the case of no load, the crank F is located on the horizontal (a) and the leaf spring E is inoperative, while only the coil spring K is operative. With the maximum load, the crank F is vertical so that the coil spring K gets inoperative, while only the leaf spring E becomes operative. With an intermediate load, both springs E, K work such as (b). With this arrangement, it is possible to prevent the noise and shock, and to actuate the spring smoothly. |
