PURPOSE:To aim at making the holding power and the ornament property compatible with each other in a plastic wheel cover for a passenger car, by stretching an annular spring across plural press-fitting pieces engagedly arranged on the inner surface of a cover, thereby engagedly locking the press-fitting pieces into the hump part of a wheel. CONSTITUTION:A box body 11 is embossed on a wheel cover 1, and a trimming hole 111 is bored so as to form and engagedly locking part 7, and a hanging groove 215 of a press-fitting pieces 21 is hangingly hooked through the trimming hole 111 so that the working face 216 is fitted on the front surface of the box body 11 to be preassembled under the plastic elasticity. Further the press-fitting head 212 of the press-fitting piece 21 is engagedly locked into a hump part 41 provided in the rim 40 of a wheel 4 so as to stretch an annular spring 3 across spring receivers 213 of the press-fitting pieces 21. With this arrangement, the press-fitting pieces 21 are energized by the expansibility of the annular spring 3 in the centrifugal direction, and the engagement between the press- fitting head 212 and the hump part 41 is established, and assembled. Therefore, the reduction of holding power due to the creep property of the plastic can be prevented. |
