<p>PURPOSE:To provide the titled compsn. which has an excellent property of penetrating into gaps between the joints of steel sheets and can prevent leakage of water caused by failure in coating, consisting of a PVC resin, a plasticizer, a filler and di- or tribenzylidenesorbitol (nucleus substitution compd.) CONSTITUTION:20-30pts.wt. PVC resin for plastisol, 25-35pts.wt. plasticizer such as dioctyl adipate, 30-50pts.wt. filler mainly composed of CaCO3 and 0.05-3.0pts.wt. di- or tribenzylidenesorbitol (nucleus substitution compd.) are blended together to obtain a highly penetrating sealing material compsn. having a viscosity of 15,000-30,000cps at 20 deg.C and fluidity of 10mm. or below. The compsn. is applied in the form of bead to the joint 13 between metallic sheets 11, 12 (e.g. steel sheets), leveled by a brush or a spatula, fired at 120-170 deg.C for 5-20min and baked at 140-160 deg.C for 20-40min.</p> |
